Founded by Rhys, DriveSmart Solutions was built on nearly a decade of hands-on operational experience. As an Assistant Operations Manager at a busy coach firm, Rhys was responsible for keeping a large fleet roadworthy and compliant — managing 42-day vehicle inspections, ensuring coaches were maintained, clean and audit-ready, and carrying out driver assessments for both existing staff and new drivers joining the business. He knows what it takes to run a fleet properly, because he’s done it.

But it was the roads themselves that inspired DriveSmart Solutions. Rhys has experienced UK roads from behind the wheel of both coaches and Class 1 HGVs — and what he sees concerns him. Roads are becoming more pressured, more impatient and more dangerous. Drivers who spend their working lives on those roads deserve better — better training, better awareness and a genuine understanding of how to stay safe.
